Default Wheels

So I'm thinking of getting new wheels for my GS. The prior owner seems to have lacked any sort of distance perception and the current wheels have enough curb rash to annoy me. I'm thinking of going from the Grey to either Black or Chrome. I'd love black chrome but haven't seen them in the OEM style. I'm not looking for a black vs chrome discussion. I like both. I am wondering where my best bet is to order the wheels from. I know it's been asked a ton but I also know that vendor reputations change over time so I thought I'd check. My tires only have about 1000 miles on them so I will keep them and move the TPMS sensors over from the old wheels.
Thanks for any input!

Another option, if you like your current style wheels, is to have them stripped and black chromed. I have been looking at getting wheels and most places do not stock black chrome wheels. But, they offer plating at an extra charge of $500-800 for the set. Maybe you can talk to one of the vendors that sell wheels to see if they will strip and plate your wheels for you. Depending on where you are, you may be without your car for 2-3 weeks while they are being done. But, in the long run it could be less than buying a new set of wheels and having them coated, or worse settling for something you do not want...

Just repair your current wheels. I'd imagine that there's a wheel repair shop near you that can do the job.

Yep, since the OEM rims are forged, and does not make sense to replace them with Cast rims instead.

I just bought these from Bob at “House of wheels” about a month ago. Gloss black C7 Z06 wheels that bolt right on to a C6 GS. I love them and get nothing but compliments

Those look great. I've always gone with black wheels but my current car is Supersonic Blue so I'm sort of on the fence. I will have to look up Bobs House of Wheels though.
Thanks!
