Default Windows indexing....Not working

Hello all

i tried the window indexing procedure. Short version, long one, single, both together....not working.

This happened after what seems to be an electrical malfunction...Tried to start the car..made a bizarre noise but didn't crink at all...Nothing was working. Left it to rest for like an hour...when i came back, started like normal, only problem left, the driver window wont come up.

Any suggestions ?

Thx

Marc

Disconnect battery, wait 5 - 10 minutes, reconnect & try again. If there was a cliché, this will hopefully reset everything and you'll be able to index the windows. If it doesn't work, may need to take in to be checked out. Good luck

I took off the fuse under passenger floor...waited a couple of minutes, and it worked. Thank you all. Now i have to figure out what happened in the first place

The fuse panel under the floor is notorious for intermittent problems. Especially for anyone who lets anyone into that side of the car.

Frankly, it's a wonder more problems don't occur given that people press on the floor regularly with their feet.

Yes, and maybe just removing the carpet and jiggling would have done the trick?

Either way, I'm glad he resolved it.

Speaking of the passenger side fuse block, I accessed mine last week to repair an issue with the interior lights and there wasn’t a cover over it. Everything I’ve seen or read talks about a cover that you unscrew to remove and that makes sense but mine just had the fuses open to the backside of the carpet I am the third owner so maybe it got lost in the shuffle somewhere along the way?

The carpet is the only cover.
