There is a C6 owner who put a C7 diffuser on his C6, not sure if it was carbon fiber. If I remember correctly it fit great, but he had problems with the C6 backup lights attaching correctly and ended up gluing them in. I was curious why he didn't get C7 backup lights that would install correctly. With a little research I can find the guy if you'd like. I haven't seen him on the forums recently.

Thank you for your response. But the name of the company that makes the rear diffuser for the c6 is c7 carbon. It already has holes for the back up lights. The reason for my original question is that I was told by a high end body shop that it could take up to 15 hours to install and make it look right.

Ok, when I replied to your question I was unsure what brand diffuser the guy had installed so I worded my reply the way I did.
"Yes, it's the C7 Carbon rear Race diffuser. Fit is nice, the only thing that I need to point out is that on the stock diffuser the reverse lights use lower mounting holes and they pivot in to the upper mounting screw locations. The C7 Carbon rear diffusers are rigid and don't flex, so the lower mounting holes are slotted and do not hold the bottom of the lights in place like the factory diffuser. You will have to use some type of glue or RTV to hold them in place. I used RTV and it's been holding up ok so far.
Customer Service at C7 Carbon is awesome!"
Do a search on gr86ss, he's done some awesome mods to his '12 GS CE

There is no way it should take you 15 hours to install let alone a “high end body shop”. These panels are simple to remove & re-install, and this is something you can do yourself with simple hand tools.

quite agree, impossible to spend that number of hours, even if their painting the piece. another example of someone applying the corvette tax theory.
I installed an APR carbon fiber one on mine and it took me about an hour and half, it’s pretty easy to remove and install a diffuser. Hardest part is the side screws, i used an air ratchet and made it much easier.

How well does the APR mate to the bumper? Any gaps? This diffuser is the one I am considering...

Sorry for the late response, not on here as much anymore.
Fit is perfect, no issues with it at all.
There are no reverse lights, but came with some small LED's to put above the license plate. You can buy better quality ones that are a bit bigger now though. I have had it on for quite a few years now.
