I can’t believe with the number of times I have had these wheels off that I haven’t noticed this until today. My front passenger side has what appear to be 3 new wheel studs & 2 stockers (at least the 5 on the driver’s side look like the 2 with a T on the end). The 3 new ones are slightly shorter than the other two - will this cause any issues? Thanks.
It definitely looks like they were replaced. The unthreaded portion on the OEM studs simply helps in centering the wheel when putting it on, as well as making it easier to start threading the lugnuts on. The studs missing the unthreaded portion can have the lead-in threads damaged fairly easily by anyone who is careless when putting the wheel/tire on the hub. I wouldn't worry about it until/unless one gets damaged.
