I was considering using Lamin-X headlight cover film to get longer life out of my lenses but after reading this on Lamin-X's site I'm not sure It's a good idea.
***DISCLAIMER:THE C6 CORVETTE HAS EXTREMELY SENSITIVE HEADLIGHT LENSES THAT ARE HIGHLY PRONE TO CRACKING. GM RECOMMENDS AGAINST COVERING THE LENSES WITH ANY MATERIAL DUE TO POTENTIAL CRACKING ISSUES. AS SUCH, THE PARTICULAR KIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND HOLDS NO WARRANTY.***
Been on for approx. 2 years with no apparent damage than what was already there, can be removed also.
I talked with Lamin-X prior to buying, was told they have hundreds out there with no complaints but have to have the disclaimer
NSF PS Oh yeah, wear your fire suit, you will be flamed

Thanks for the reply. Why would I get flamed?? It's ok I'm a retired firefighter let the flames begin!
Seems there is an aversion by some to tinted headlights, something about being called a Ricer or Mustanger and that true Corvette owners shouldn't do it

Yeah I realized the link i used was for the blue tinted film but I was going to use the clear.
Thanks!
I did blue tint and found headlights were 10 degrees cooler than
my Jetstream body. I like the look and the protection it will give
my headlights on two lane country roads.
Installation took a good hour for head lights.
I went with blue tint. Take your time with all
the curves and follow their directions.
Corvette was out last night and on the interstate.
I did not see a visible, to me, difference.
This blue is a light tint.
