I just purchased a 2005 coupe for my girlfriend. Automatic with a Z51 package. Car has an aftermarket exhaust (corsa) on it. Car runs real nice however after sitting for a few days it kills the battery.
You could put a multimeter on the battery and start pulling fuses and look for a voltage change.
Usually the on-star. However, I think there was a DBS (dead battery syndrome) on '05's that called for a computer re-flash. Make sure your has had it done.

That was my first thought too but that was for M6. He has A4.

I thought Onstar was no longer supported on the '05. Which may mean nothing, or there is a draw from that no longer being "minded."
