Default Map Lights

Has anyone ever experienced the problem with both map lights never turn off? Ofcourse both buttons are in the off mode and I ensured both doors and trunk are closed properly. Even when I get out of the car and the car auto-locks the lights do not turn off. The only way I get them to turn off is disconnect the power connector on the back of the mirror.

The round button on the dash left of steering wheel turns them on and off. Also, they will time out after 20 minutes if left on to prevent battery run down. It' all in the owner's manual.

Do you have LED bulbs in them? If so, they will have a faint glow to them and never turn off completely. It won't affect the battery either from what I have seen. Did research on this when I replaced mine with LED bulbs.

Push and release the button on the lower left of the dash. Lights won't go out immediately, but they'll go out when you get out of the car and shut the door.

This is a problem that all new C6 owners have when they get their car.

I had and kept clean inside and out 5 C6s. Read here about that problem with the map lights staying on and what the fix was about 5 or 6 times in 13 years. Finally happened to me about 6 months before I parted with my last C6.
