Default Need help determining value

I've got a 2006 base 3lt with 100k miles. I'm thinking about just selling it as is with a lifter that is chewed up. What is your best guess on the value of it the way it sits? Everything else is in good shape. Think it's worth repairing the engine before selling? I want to upgrade.

The cost to remove the head and replace the lifter is much cheaper than the reduced resale value you will get if you don't repair it. IMO, People who are in the market to buy a Corvette want to get in it and drive it they don't want to buy it and then repair it.

Around 11k in private party monies, less than 9k as trade in. Be prepared for lots of low ball offers, esp or there are other maint or cosmetic items that have been put off.

chewed up lifter=chewed up camshaft= lots of $$ to repair.

I'm curious what happened to the lifter on these normally bullet-proof engines . . . ?

Best guess in most reported cases failures involve lack of maintenance if any maint, a'tall.

1700 mile trip and through the mountains I was bumping the redline and I think there was an issue around there. I put a lot of money into the engine and mods and it was maintained well. I had about 40k miles on my internal mods and feel like 40k miles driven the way I do was amazing. I'm super happy and I'm a believer of the LS engines big time.

Thanks everyone for the prices. Time to put in some thought.

Mildly modded?
Didn't say that, thought it was stock.
Modding stresses drivetrain more than stock, internals wear faster.
40K's pretty good miles to get out of it.
In any event replace lifters & hope cam's not damaged. cam work adds beaucoup $.
Then, sell it. JMHO & YMMV.

Just went through this w/ my 60K LS7; although, wasn't to repair any damage, just 'upgrading'.
Doing heads w/ a cam saved some labor vs doing it separately.
Still all-in, ~$6.5 large.

G/L, update w/ decision.

Definitely fix it, otherwise you will get lots of low ball offers and they might not be that far off from being justified. They will probably look at it as what else is wrong with the car and while they don't expect a warranty they may question who modded the car, what was done to it and why is it falling apart after only 40k miles.
