C6 Replacement Lens Failure
Has anyone had the replacement lens fail? Mine looks like a coating on the inside is separating. The lenses are only a year old and both are doing it

Without knowing the cause, which I'll be looking into with the factory, these are being replaced. Most, if not all that know me here, know that I have always stood behind the GM lens even though GM never would. And now with my lens I don't expect my position to change. Once I know what the root cause was on these particular lens I'll be posting up a result thread. Rest asured I don't leave anybody high and dry if it's remotely on me.

You should contact the company you bought them from. This should not be happening.

I purchased and installed an original set from RLSebring about 4 years ago, and they still look like new.

Melting Slicks
I've got that exact same problem on the outer surfaces of both my new lenses. It's like a sunburn peeling. It's prevented me from having XPel protection installed.
The problem I would have getting them replaced by the vendor is the already sunk costs of removing the headlight assemblies, shipping them to the vendor, shipping from the vendor, and having them reinstalled. The vendor isn't going to replace my defective lenses and pay for all those costs too. All things considered, I've decided to totally replace my light assemblies with those slick new C7-like models from VetteLights.

If you are not giving the vendor any opportunity to make it right, then that is your choice, and I understand it. I am sure you will not later fault the vendor for the product. Good luck with the C7 lights.

If you purchased any replacement lenses before 2017, you likely got replacements made by GM, so you won't likely have the same issue as what's described here, but you will eventually re-develop the hazing/crazing/fizzures look that they all get. Buying them before 2017 it's only a matter of time.
In 2017, we introduced our lenses and thus far, aside from about 4-5 factory defects that we have replaced for customers that installed remotely, we've not had a single one come back that we've done ourselves - that's over 150+ that we've install/replaced through send in.
----BEGIN ADVERT----
There is a reason our units passed DOT testing and the ones we sell for standard retail are not sold to vendors mentioned on this thread. So if you want to do it one time and do it right, we think our lenses are the best choice for you.
We do also sell factory "blems" for less, but those have no warranty and even there so far, we've only heard of 1 issue that came up.

Just to make sure the record is straight I did not sell this member his lens nor do I sell to Corvette Mods.

What this means is he got exactly what he paid for. A crap product from a company that is well-known to not back the products they sell. Sorry to hear of his problem, but there it is.

OP says he bought lenses from RL Sebring in post #8.
I think we need to hear more from one or both of these guys because the lenses shown by OP are bad
OP?
RL?
