Hi, actually on my 4th corvette since my c4 and was a member of this site years ago but lost track of my user name ect... but I'm back now and have a question. What I want is the lumpy sound of a nice cam that is way noticeable over the stock cam with all four exhaust tips open. I`m not necessarily doing this for the horse power gains.
The car is 09 z06 with 56k miles, with stock engine best I can tell. The only two things that have been added to the car besides me is a ram air cold air intake and BB exhaust. I`m not going to race the car I drive it back and forth to work about 7 miles each way. I`m really really confused on which cam to get for the daily driver with a nice lumpy idle. I live in the north Dallas Texas area for any suggestions close to here as well. Thanks for you help. Again......

Go see LG Motorsports and tell them what you want. They can spec a grind for your exact needs and give you lope, and power, without wearing out those springs. The tune is a big part of it. I highly recommend headers while you are there. They will go nicely with that B.B. Exhaust and new cam. Have them check your heads for faulty guides as well. You will want to keep that LS7 after adding a cam !
You may want to call Fast Lane Performance in Georgia. I heard a C5 cammed corvette that was in front of the car that was in front of me and my girl and heard it very very well. It was lopey you can call them and tell them what your looking for and they may be able to help. I've never used them.

Save your money on the cam, and just pull off a couple of spark plug wirtes.

i wasn’t worried about HP when I got my cam. So I wasted my money. ??
Some people pled it’s not about the HP it’s about the sound. That what I went for with my 420rwhp build.
With doing a lot of cruises and events it’s as practical. And for not being a tract car it was perfect.
Great sound and great on gas. Did a 12hr drive in the car back from the Grand Canyon no problems at all.
With the mild to wild. Nice and quiet when ya want too.
And it gets smogged.
