Keep your hood and install the Camaro vents like so many here have done, looks sharp and accomplishes what you want

No personal experience but a cool hood, nonetheless.

Try this thread.

Placement on the hood is key for me, some I like, some I don't.

YMMV!

This is the one for me, the price is great and looks like it belongs right there, as I said some are just over the top IMHO

I like the ACS vent that BonecrruscherSS used on his, he does have a ZR1 style hood though.

Center vent is a Camaro vent, I thought it needed something else, so I found these side vents that was a close match and did some customizing to get a great fit. Pictures do not do them justice.

I personally will be going with the Camaro vents, but if you aren't a DIY type LG also makes a very functional hood.

I don't mean to insult anyone here (so don't take offense) but the unpainted vents look like add ons. Personally I like the TS or supercharger hoods that have the vents on both sides of the hood.

All these hood vents do the same thing, not sure any is better then the other when tested, I haven't noticed any drastic changes in temp based on my style of driving. But, then again, I didn't do this mod with the expectation of any great gains, I just like the looks. I can tell you that even on a 95 degree day that while stopped at an intersection that you can see the heat waves escaping out of vents, so I think there would be something good in that, especially if you plan on tracking it. Install is simple enough

LG hood fits/works great. Not cheap though.

Vented hood is a great for reducing front end lift, does very little to nothing for cooling.

The vent didn't do anything to my underhood temps for regular driving either.

Love the look though.

where did you order those side vents? Also did you bolt this down or how did you fasten the vents?
