OBD link error
I have a 2008 corvette. A week ago the check engine came on and when I tried to read it with my code reader it say link error. I unplug the battery and let it reset and the check engine goes off but will come back on with a few minutes / miles. It still says link error when trying to read trouble code.
Not being able to read the trouble code had to turn it into the dealer today. Any help what so ever why the OBD is saying link error

Is this the first time you've tried using this scan tool on this car? If so, it's possible you have an older scan tool that is not Can-Bus compatible. C6s are Can-Bus and older technology scan tools will give you this very link error. If you've used it in the past successfully, then, something else is the problem.

Yes I have used this scan tool on this car in the past. I have owned it for 4 month and about a month after I bought it it read and cleared a mass air flow sensor just fine.

Was the key on? Run position without starting the engine? That might be the cause then if you know your scan tool is can bus.
