Does anyone know what Optima battery would fit size wise in my '09 Z? I know I have to do something with a hold down but what battery fits the best size wise and Redtop or Yellow top? Thanks!
At the bottom of each page is the battery finder drop down boxes. Most likely the Model 35 RedTop, or D35 YellowTop for the 2009 6.2L
Size wise, they will be same ,and will fit securely.

Do I need a 35 or a 75/25?
If you don't have aftermarket electrical accessories in your vehicle, we recommend the REDTOP® 35. If you do have aftermarket electrical accessories, such as an audio system with amps, we recommend YELLOWTOP® D35. Both of these are top-post-only batteries.
Please note we also make a group 75/25 battery (some retailers will label it 75/35 in their system). This battery has both top and side posts and probably will not work in your vehicle. The positive and negative posts are on the wrong side for your vehicle and your cables may not reach.

I chose the 35 RedTop w/720 CCA - 910 CA for my '11 GS since I don't have any aftermarket amps, etc.

A dry sump GS and the Z06 will likely need a different battery than a base model/wet sump GS as they are housed in the rear hatch area and need to be vented.
I don't believe Optima recommends the yellow top or red top for the dry sump GS/Z06 models as they aren't vented.
