Looks good, right now in Florida it rains everyday so don't have time to clean it, unless you are afraid to get it dirty.

It looks clean, sweet!

Nice. How about more details on the head lights. Where did you get them? Do you have more pics with them on?

Thanks! It's been raining here in Louisiana a lot this summer so been spending lots of time in the garage taking care of little things. Yesterday I sweat my *** off cleaning the engine bay and interior, and the rain let up so I did manage to get a ride in afterward.

Those are the new C7 style Morimoto units. They're super sweet! There are 3 vendors here on the forum selling them. Just do a search and you'll see.

Thanks! It's an 05 M6 Z51. I'm pushing past 74k right now. Love it. Drive it anytime I can. I got it in Nov of 2011 with about 35k on the odo. I was seriously thinking of getting a C7 Z51, and as much as I like the new Vette Im one of those that just can't get past the taillights. Only way I would get a C7 is if I could afford a GS/Z06/ZR1 and since I can't then I'm keeping the C6. And frankly, I'm still in love with this car so what's the point. Everything works well and the car drives awesome, and I love the sound of my B.B. Bullets! Wife and I just got back from Key West. We flew, but after getting there I wished we would have just made the drive. Next time we're taking the Vette!!

Oa '05 w/ 74K, simply amazing.
Didn't see a wart. Removed?
ONLY way I can tell an '05 from 6-13 is that wart.

I honestly got over the RLs, it's a new generation so...
My beef w/ C7 is outrageous, intrusive & often not time tested tech.
Younger set loves that stuff when it functions.
Warranty or not if any one system goes south what's supposed to be a pleasure may quickly become a nightmare.
Off warranty instant bummer.

You're keeping it for all the right reasons.
Due to traffic I might regret it but cruising the gulf coast from your locale one time would be a vacation all its own.

If you ever do I would recommend starting in Pontchatoula LA on Hwy 22 and head east. About 30 miles into the trip It'll turn into HWY 90 and you can follow that all the way to Tallahassee taking you through the Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida Gulf coast. Lots to see, do, eat, and gamble if you're into that!

Car looks great. Love the headlights.
Maybe eventually the headlights are the way to go. I was going to do the lens but I have second thoughts after seeing these.
can you replace the lens cover on those new style lights?

According to the vendors selling the lights, yes they can be replaced. However, the manufacturer is claiming that the lens covers are far superior to the OEM so they should not crack fade or craze in the same manner. Only time will tell.

Also, for those that do not want to go with the black and want to keep the C6 OEM paint marching scheme, there's one forum vendor who is also painting the new headlights to match your car color.

I do like the lights, how is the light output compared to stock?

Morimoto claims much better output than OEM, and I find that they are correct. It is much brighter than my old units. Bear in mind that mine were stock so they were at least 13 years old and the lenses had slight crazing. Not much but some. In any event, the new lights are much much brighter.

Looks nice. You have a coke machine in your garage? Does it work?

Yes it does. I used to have it stocked with beer! It's empty right now.
