Good luck? Or bad luck?

No air leaks. Doesn't look or feel like it damaged the cords. Just passed between the carcass and the skin of the sidewall

Is that a crack in your rim?

Yeah. 12 year old daily driver. Rim paint has been peeling for years.

So what are you going to do?
Pull it out and see what happens?

After getting back to my shop I pulled it out. No air loss. No detectable damage to the sidewall cords. You can barely tell where it was now.
The nail just managed to skate over the cords but under the sidewall skin. So, just a flesh wound! No structural damage. I'll look at it every day for a while to check for a lump that would indicate breaking cord fibers.
2 millimeters to the right and I would have been stranded waiting for a tow.
I'm not the least bit concerned with driving on it. But these tires are ready for replacement anyway. 36K miles on them. Probably another 4K left. BF Goodrich G-Force Sports.
