Default 2005 ecm

Does anyone know where I can find a ECM for a 2005 Vette? I’ve been looking everywhere and have had no luck.

Thanks.

Try Chuck at COW. He is a vendor here.

E40 ecm, and check around since you should be able to find a used on still good, and hell of lot cheaper than a new one.
Note, Some of the vendors are able to sps program it to your car before shipping it to you.

Also keep in mind that it will need to be SPS flashed, so it marries to the car. Hence Mileage is stored in both the ECM and dash cluster, so during SPS, not only will the correct mileage and cars vin number be programmed into it, but the correct GM security key so it communicating with other modules.
Also, once it has been SPS flashed to marry to the car, you still need to go back in with a Tech II for the relearns like crank, timing and throttle as well.

So truth is, if you have any soldering skills, best to pull the board out of the ECM, and check it for any water damage or cold solder joints that may be the problem and correct them yourself. Hence with the old unit fixed of it problems and still married to the car, you don't have to SPS, then use a tech II for relearns when it's put back in repaired.

Thanks guys for the responses but still no luck in finding the ECM. Called a bunch of places but they’re all out of stock. Guess I’ll have to keep looking. Anyone know the exact part number for the ECM? I’m getting different numbers during searches. I’ve got 12597883 and 19210071. Are these the same?

Thanks Dano but I’ve already contacted them and they’re out of stock.

The link was to show that either number would be fine to start searching for one in stock.

As for a brand new one, good luck with that, since even GM lists the ones they have as re-manufactured that they are using for repairs themselves (hence boards pulled to correct the cold solder joint problems)

And again, once you get it in the car, will need to SPS flash it to marry it to your car, then do the tech II relearns next.
