Anyone have just the hatch tinted?
It's illegal to tint the side windows at all where I live, so I'm wondering what it would look like with just the hatch tinted. If you have it please post pics and what % the tint is. Thanks

He didn't do anything special like sanding them off or putting solid black over them. Just a local guy who came highly recommended from the SoCal section of Corvette Forum. He takes his time and uses high quality tint and it turned out really clean.

My car had side and rear hatch windows tinted when I bought it. The sides are fine, but I can barely see out the back at night. Has anyone had the rear tint removed and put a lighter tint on? Not sure if this is a big job or not, and any guesses as to price? Regardless, I have to have it done as I can only see headlights of a car only 50 feet behind me. Don’t want to do anything stupid if a LEO is behind me.

I can tint the back as dark as I want, but I can't tint the doors at all, legally. The guy I think I'm going to get to do it said he has some 70%, I think I might put that on the doors. I like the darkness of yours, what is it?

In Michigan you can’t legally tint side windows, but I got mine done with a light tint. Didn’t do the hatch because tinter said it was hard to do and would be expensive

If you're more interested in the heat and UV protection than the looks, 3M makes a 90% VLT tint that still blocks 34% of total solar energy:

I might put it on my side windows at some point. This is how mine looks now, although I don't know the tint level:

I ended up going 35% on the hatch and 55% on the doors. Looks really good and not too dark, hopefully I won't get in trouble for it. It looks darker in the pic than real life

I tint windows at my business and I can tell you from experience, the back windows are a SOB. Any window with any kind of curve on it is tough. You are basically taking something flat and melting it to the curve of the glass without burning it or creasing it. Once you do that, there are no second chances. Its start over again. When you start over you are burning your profit.
