Default corvette battery maintainer plug in

Just bought a 2012 coupe.. I want to use the unit that just plugs into the cig lighter. Can I plug the battery maintainer into the cig lighter. I have no 12v plugs anywhere else. I thought the car had another one in the rear compartment. I could not locate it unless its hidden. I`ve read in the forum you can use the cig lighter and some say no.
thanks for you help.

Use the one in the center console. There isn't one in the back.

The one in the front of the console behind the ash tray lid. is it the Ctek maintainer/charger? If yes & you have a blinking led on the charger unit there's a bad connection on the charger plug (don't throw the charger in the trash).

I use the one located in the front of the armrest console. Does the trick for me.

Look into the one that hooks up to your grill . It has a magnetic connection in case you forget about it

Yup, that's what I have and it's worlds better than anything else. Once you have it you can never go back to any other method.

I still use a pigtail, fused and connected directly to the battery. Yes I have to unplug it before I use the car but since the car is covered when sitting in the shop, having to unplug it reminds me to check fluid levels, etc. before taking off. I’m old and forgetful.

If you can solder, then I'm sure you could use it with anything.
