Ok ... so, lets say you have a brand new car battery that yu think might be bad ....
Just jump start the car with a battery from some other car that you know has a good battery ... if your Corvette still don't crank, you have other problems.
As for you FOB battery, go buy another one ... if it still don't start, don't blame 2 brand new FOB batteries as being bad right out of the package ... the chance of 2 brand new FOB batteries being bad is zero to nothing.

Oh ... and make sure you don't have the FOB battery installed upside down

That's not true.
The last multi-pack of 2032s that I bought was 80% bad.
Either way, you could remove the batteries, and if the antenna in the glove box is good, it will be fine on a recognized fob. (google electromagnetic induction).

Say what you want, but there is a 99% chance that the Op has other problems besides dead batteries.

Not arguing that, just trying to pin it down a bit.

If the DIC says "no fob" then it is not seeing the fob. If the fob is placed in the slot properly and it still says "no fob" AND IT IS THE PROPER FOB (and it sounds like there is only one fob) then either reprogram the fob (it's in the manual) or have it flat bedded to the dealer.
Good luck and keep us posted as this is an odd one.

Please keep us posted, on what the dealership does to fix the problem, make sure you give them both Fobs, incase they have to reprogram them.
What you experience has you can see from the posts members are all interested in the FIX.
I hope you are AAA member, if not you should be, now you know why.

Anyone have a big service manual that can look-up what 'security mode' exactly means?
Is the car financed through a GM loan lending financing program with a 'lien' on it? Just asking,,, possibly they have shut-down the car through the computer?....

Burning Brakes
I had same problem couple years ago. Take it to dealer, have them check Nav/Radio unit.... Car alarm/shut down system resides in that module i believe... When that module was unplugged, car started. Plugged back in, car died.... Had to replace Nav unit.
Weird my car didn't run cuz Radio was bad. Lol

Could be a relay that supplies power to the fuel pump/starter. Do the interior lights come on when you open the door (sounds like it if the DIC says no fob found)? Can you turn on headlights, honk the horn?
