Hello everyone! I would like to ask a huge favor of any Autobody/Collision experts with regards to C6 chassis dimensions ( measuring points to determine if any portion is bent) the factory manual shows the door hinge post to door striker dimensions and the cowl to frame horn measurements, but makes no mention of the rear chassis measurements. I’ve asked a friend who manages a collision shop, but he either doesn’t want to divulge the info, or simply won’t waste his time pulling it up for me. I realize most everything is software/computer based anymore, which baffles me as to why he wouldn’t print the measurements off for me. I know that nobody wants to “give away” work, especially where the software costs a small fortune.
Basically, what I’m looking at right now is a 2007 coupe that was hit in the rear, the tub, both Quarters,etc....
i would like to use a set of “Trammel points” to check diagonally the rear chassis where the tub attaches to see if it’s close, I’d like to avoid buying something that requires a lot of frame pulling, this particular car doesn’t appear to have frame damage at all, but until you put it on a frame machine, it’s a crap shoot. I’d just like to make a couple of simple measurements to see if it’s close.
Beuler?......Beuler?......anyone? anyone?.....
Just kidding....no rush, just figured somebody would have this information lying around their shop.
Thanks in advance!
