Bridgestone Potenza re960as Runflats - yay or nay?
I need to replace my Firestone Wide Oval runflats - I have never gotten all seasons in my C6 but was seriously considering putting them this time, in the event I caught in unexpected snow as I take the car out during winter months when there is no forecast of snow.
I wanted to hear from others who have installed these tires as to whether:
1) they handle decently in warm weather
2) do they grip in sub-freezing temps or are they like hockey pucks as well
Thanks in advance!

I have these tires on currently. They are ok in the cold, decent in the summer.
They are pretty expensive tires, but if you intend on driving to December before heavy snow hits, they will function. I do appreciate that in the spring where we have wild swings for the day to evening temps that in the evening its still driveable.

Advanced
Just put Mich. all seasons RF on my 2011 GS a week ago much quieter, and the crab effect is almost gone also, but did have a very neutral setting put in front and rear, the alignment guy knows more than i do, but this is the second GS he has aligned for me.

If the sizes are correct for your car, the best tires for winter use short of a dedicated "snow tire" are the Mich. AS 3+ ZP. Not sure if above runs the Bridgestone ZPs but he used to run Bridgestones, maybe contact him for opinion?

It was between those and Michelin. I went with the Michelin 'em because they were $200 cheaper.

They are also the only tire I've had on my vette that when they do break loose, you really hear them squall. They don't squeak when spinning, they roar like tires from the old days. And you have to really work to make them spin.
I have headers and a tune, and currently have Nitto Invos on the rear (got a super deal.....). The Bridgestones would bark loudly going to 2nd, and that was it. These Nittos will just sit there and spin if I grab 2nd hard, and spin even when shifting to third. Just using that as a comparison for traction.

I ran them in WV in the 20s and here in Florida in the 100's, and they gripped surprisingly well in everything from light snow/rain to hot dry roads.

Update
This morning we had borderline freezing temps and the day is clear and beautiful. Took the car for my coffee run with the all-season tires I got during the summer and had a chance to test them out.
I was surprised at the grip on the turns and the launch from zero, nothing like the hockey puck feeling that I would have had with the summer tires. Combined with the cold air, launch from zero was fantastic and the car was going like a bat out of hell.
On the flip side, handling during the warm temperatures is definitely/noticeably inferior to the summer tires, however, I feel a lot safer in the colder temps now with the all-seasons.
Just updating in the event someone is thinking of going this route.

I have since gone to ultra summer non run flat.Michelin PS4S. I did like the grips of the potenza, but I wanted to get to experience a summer of some really really good grip and got my money's worth. I also noted my potenza's as they aged, they actually developed a lot of road noise. I had thought this was normal car noise until I put on the PS4S which all but makes my car silent.
