Need imput- 2013 GS A/T Convertible
Friend of mine wants me to check with you guys about your actual gas mileage if you have the above model. He suspects his may be lower than others.

I have a 2012 Centennial. Same everything as his 2013 as far as motor, tranny, drivetrain. I average about 25.5-26 mpg on strictly highway driving at 75-80 mph. A head wind will cut that by 2 mpg. In-town, short trips runs 16.2-17.2 mpg.

In my experience the manual cars get dramatically better fuel economy than the automatics. I don't think it's quite as bad in the C6 or C7 series as it was in the C5 but it is still pretty bad. In the C5 I would say it was about 7 miles per gallon difference Highway, and the C6 I would say it's about 4 to 5 and in the C7 from what I can ascertain from people that looks like about three to four.

My current 2013 GS gets 10-11 total city driving and 25-26 total highway. However one time I decided to baby it and kept it at a steady 55mph with the cruise on for a long trip and got 31mpg's.

What kind of driving? How lead-footed is he? Is this top-down miles vs top-up? Does he live in a hilly-mountainous area... I could go on, but there really is no way of knowing.

what is your friend getting, and why isn't he able to get on here by himself????

Quite simple. My friend asked me to check on this for him and I'm happy to oblige. Conditions are interstate (75-85 mph) vs stop and go in town. Moderate to light throttle running, very little heavy throttle.
