Was going to order a starter/solenoid combo for my 2005 Corvette Z51 base 6.0 Went to order it and the parts house is telling me that the 2005 starter/solenoid is different than on same engine on the 2006-2007-2008 6.0 and up. Is this true? The price is a lot different too (way higher on the 2005). Any of you guru's know for sure before I order it?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks again Dano. Yes, I'm going to replace the solenoid because it did the "no start" once again. But I figured while I was there I'd just replace the starter too since I' really like the car and plan on keeping it for a long time and it's paid for. I was just curious as to what the actual difference was in the starter was itself? Thanks for all the help you have given me up to this point.

Reason: added info
Do it yourself, dealership with give a shocking bill!
And it's pretty simple to do. It could be different for other years and models, but on a '06 Base Z51, I can get the starter out without having to unbolt the midpipe from the exhaust manifolds. It takes a little pushing, pulling, twisting... but I can usually get it in or out in less than 60 seconds after I unbolt it.
