I have a CTEK. I like it because one of the connectors it came with can be left on the car. Just pop the hood and plug it in. I’d say if I wanted to take the time to do it that I could plumb it through the bottom somewhere and not even have to pop the hood but that seems like a lot of work to avoid popping the hood. It also has different settings for motorcycle batteries and deep cycle batteries. I’ve never tried any other brands. Got mine directly from Interstate Batteries, I’m a Interstate dealer.

C-Tek 3300 is a great tender. I use it on all my cars. It even came on my new C7 Z06 as an optional battery saver package.
They work.

Been using CTEK for over 6 years without a problem. Check out their web site..they sometimes run specials including free shipping. With the holidays approaching I'll bet they will have a nice holiday sale.

I've had a battery tender for years, a couple actually. They have worked pretty well.

I wanted a battery charger that could act as a tender as well so I bought a CTEK MUS 4.3, and I like that so far as well.

Battery Tender, Jr. been using mine for 10 years, was under $30, even came with a harness that will permanently attach to battery clamps. Simple plug in and go.

I have 2 Optimate 6 made by Tecmate. I've had them for over 3 years and they work great. They have a desulphanation step to supposedly restore an older battery. The LEDs are kind of a PITA but you only need to refer to them if your battery has a problem. Otherwise it's plug in and forget about it.

Thanks! It was hell before we got electricity, but really got great after that. Had to use a mule driven generator to run the Ctek. Damn mule almost ate us out of a house and home.

I was between CTEK's 3300 and MUS-7002 models, decided to splurge on the 7002 because it has 8 steps vs the 3300's 4, and also a "supply" setting which will provide enough power to maintain computer settings when I need to disconnect the battery. Well worth the extra dough IMHO. As was the "comfort" accessory that allows it to be plugged into a live 12v power recepticle. Thinking of getting a second one so I can keep both toy cars tended at the same time.

Not sure about how much detail can be discussed about maintainers. Got mine from Northern Tools. Can't remember the brand. It's black & blue in color and it works.

Another vote for Battery Tender Plus. Have been using one for a few years now & love the quick connect/release harness you can leave connected to the battery. Can be picked up at your local Auto Parts store or online from a few different sources; I picked mine up at my local AutoZone.
