Throttle Position Sensor Stall

A c6 suffering from engine shutdown with fault code throttle position sensor fault. After a few minutes, car can be started again. Can you troubleshoot throttle controls?

maybe replace the TPS or look at the connector?

Yep. accelerate pedal is a PITA to pull and clean up it sensor (just replace the pedal assembly with new sensor), but the TB is not isntead.

Also, is the code pointing to a bad circuit, which just may be a problem in the wiring or connector isntead.

Hence really need to know the code number, since it will point you are a specific item that is having a problem to start with.

ya bro i replaced the throttlebody already car ran good for like 20 minutes then it grenaded again and went into reduced power mode, any ideas? thanks

What DTC code, since it may be the TB that just has to be pulled apart and its internal Stats cleaned up.

i have replaced the tb and sensor with a new one worked good for twenty minutes then back to reduced power mode,gonna throw a throttle postion sensor at the gas pedal next.... thanks for reply

Anyone else had TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) issues?

I just got my C7 back this afternoon-dealership has had it since 2 Saturdays ago with "throttle position sensor" issue-that is not counting the 5-6 days they had it previously; my TPS issue started after a routine State of TX car inspection. The TPS was replaced first; then after it went into "limp home" mode 4 times they searched sources for new wiring/harness and connector to "computer"; again it went into "limp home" mode; GM tech support said to replace the main computer; I drove it home (9 miles) without incident....so far.
