Interior Room C6 or C7
I'm getting ready to buy a 2013 or 2014 GS. I've heard that the C6 has more interior room. True?

Well............
First off, there was no '14 GS, so I don't know who is trying to sell you that bottle of snake oil.
And, yes, the "cockpits" are roomier in the C6. The numbers may say they are close to the same, but I have both, and the numbers lie. The C6 is practically spacious compared to the C7. Both the driver and the passenger.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Stingray(I really do), but not everyone is going to fit into a C7 that fits into a C6.

My buddy and I took my car for supper the other day, he drove and again commented on how much better the visibility is vs. a C7. As soon as he sat in one at the dealer it he didn't like it, so he didn't even bother driving it.
He's talking about buying the newest Mopar (Demon "Redeye" or something?) When we were coming back from dinner, I told him this car will top out at 186, and does 80 or whatever in 2nd gear. Fast enough for me at this age, besides there nowhere to wring it out around here.
He agreed, but even if he buys that 800 hp beast I will still outclass him looks-wise.

Yes, the C6 feels much roomier than C7.

They are pretty close but the C6 has the edge in headroom. I have a C6 and C7 Z06. The C7 feels more confining but I think the configuration of the center console just makes it seem tighter. I'm 6'1" 225 and fit fine in the C7. Very true with regard to the helmet. I can't wear a helmet in the C7 but I can in the C6.

Interior room
I have had four C 6 coupes and all were very comfortable. I purchased a C 7 in 2014 and was very disappointed in the interior space. The seats did not seem to be nearly as comfortable as the previous C 6. I sold my C 7 and went back to a C 6. I'm 6'2" and weigh 190.

I drove two Z06s over the weekend, a 2lz and a 3lz. They both felt cramped compared to my c6 but the 3lz with the nicer leather was more comfortable. I’m 6’ and 185 so I thought I would fit fine, but the side bolsters seemed to be pressing on me making it uncomfortable for city driving.

I'm 6'2" and my last Vette and Current Vette is a C6. Last year a friend lent me his 2016 C7 Stingray. (He wanted me to drive it to a car show for him as he had another car he was entering in the show). After the show he told me to use if for the weekend. I was so uncomfortable and cramped in the car that I took it home and parked it my garage. Definitely more room in the C6.

So I actually own a 2014 C7 and an 2005 C6. Ill share my perspective on both:
If you want more "comfortable" seating - Get a C6
If you want more of a "sports car cockpit" - Get a C7
If you want to have a roomier interior overall - Get a C6
If you want to feel like the seats and interior are "holding you in place" - Get a C7
If getting in and out of a car is a concern - Get a C6
If you want a "sexier" interior - Get a C7
If you want a higher quality interior (more leather, less plastic, metal accents) - Get a C7 (specifically a 3LT)
I mean I love the C6 and I am surprised just how much more comfortable it is than my C5, but I think we would be hard pressed to argue how sexy the C7 looks on the inside:

Like everyone else has already stated, the C6 is a lot roomier and (IMO) more comfortable then the C7 (I have test driven 4 now). In all other regards the C7 interior is superior (again IMO).

coming in at 6'-2" ( 290lbs ), I do fit in my C6 well. I wish I had a bit more leg more. can't quite get a full stretch.
head room is fine. sure it's a matter of torso vs legs.
was able to sit in a few C7's, the only difference I felt was that the C7 had more leg room ( length ) , but less foot room ( width ).
