SALUTE...to all who served!!!
I have and always will for the rest of my life, pick up the tab for a service person in uniform if they're dining in the same restaurant as me.

Happy Birthday Marine Corp!
Although I never served in the armed forces, my father was in the Marine Corp. I am proud to have been born on November 10. God bless all our armed forces!

Yesterday, I worked at our golf course, helping run the Marines "toys for tots" golf tournament we host each year. It was great to see all these Marines supporting a wonderful charity. The 7 very special "9/11 Camaro's" were on display around the course during the tournament. They are featured at major and local events, coast-to-coast, honoring those who died in the attacks. All names of the deceased are printed on the various cars. Quite a humbling sight. Semper Fi, oo-rah, and long live military service in the USA.

Semper Fidelis.
BTW, I spent 14 months in H&MS 32 at Beaufort. Some good and not so good memories of that place (the town) back in the day. Mostly good though.

UPDATE. today my son got the call he has been waiting for. his recruiting captain called to let him know that the selection board selected him and gave him an aviation contract. so now he goes to quantico,va on 05 jan 2019 to start ocs, then 6 months of 'boot camp' and then starts pilot training either in pensacola, fl or corpus christy, tx.
mama cried
but now he's going to be doing something he's been wanting to do since he was a little kid, fly.
