Default New radio freedom

Pioneer 2400 with Metro faceplate
Wrapped up an install of a new Pioneer 2400NEX with RP5, mount kit and ready harness from Crutchfield for $505. Used a Pyle PLCM38 FRV camera ($17 Amazon) for rear view and finished with a Pro Clip phone holder to make my 2008 more compatible for today’s driving needs. Happy to share the experience with you if needed. Thanks to all on CF for sharing your experience to help me get mine done!

That looks great! I'm looking to do the same with my 2007.

Explain the freedom part??

Granted that the radio does have more options than the OEM unit, but you still playing by the rules that Pioneer has installed the software in it isntead.
So real Freedom with a head unit, is a Rooted Android unit that you can add software/functions to your desire At-Will instead.

I did not add XM. Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth are my first choices generally.
