While I had the dash apart to install the HUD I figured I’d install a front camera as well. I had an extra camera lying around from when I bought a second thinking my back up camera was faulty. Anyhow, the camera I had fit very nicely in one of the slots in the grill. I ran the camera wires under the front fascia & spliced into the driver’s side marker.
I then ran the wires up under the fender (remove the 6 T-15 screws holding the fender on & fish the wires under) under the A pillar & then behind the gauge cluster to the head unit. Pretty simple install & happy with the results.
Remove these T-15 screws 1 t-15 screw & pull this piece off Another T-15, pull up on this piece and route the wire above the screw. Put the screw back in. I need to cut a wire on the camera harness to not reverse the image or I can reverse it on the head unit as it’s done here. If the reversed word bothers me I’ll cut the wire as it’s right behind the fender liner.
A front camera is a very helpful addition and makes for confident parking. The guide lines are a must have feature, not all cameras have them.
Nice job. I went with the curb alert mini which provides an audible when you get close to the curb or barrier. Your system may have been less expensive. I went with a wi-fi camera on the rear which displays on my Iphone with a similar version of your camera.
i like this mod. recently drove a friends 2019 grand sport which had the front and rear cameras and really liked the front camera to avoid those ' pesky curbs '. can the cameras be adapted to fit a 2007 that has no cameras?

Cameras are very inexpensive & running the wires is very easy. You just need a head unit that can support them.
