W/ C5 yes, C6 no.
Need a code reader, they've become very inexpensive; however, only allow reading upper tier codes.
The other deeper codes require an OBDII, IIRC there're clones being marketed for much less $ than the official reader.
OTOH if you're troubleshooting skills are solid and know how to trace the issue yourself, wishing you luck.
Might even consider asking Edd China, via his uTube channel.
Guy's pretty sharp, heard he actually does help enthusiasts who email him or even call.
Got to discover the source of issue first though, and for tranny guessing the industrial-strength reader will be required.
Just curious, didn't mention miles so have to ask has/if the tranny fluid's ever been changed?
It is a 2007, 11 years old already.
Usually slipping's the most pronounced symptom w/ worn/burned fluid vs a hard shift between a specific set of gears, though.
