Default seat skin color

I'm looking to get new seat skins for my 06 LMB vert. I currently have all black interior and it's a bit plain for me. I want to do the black seats with gray inserts but I'm still debating on options like stitching, piping, logo, etc.

I'm leaning towards RED stitching but am curious how it would look. I would obviously get a center lid and shift boot as well to match. I'm also tossing around the idea of light gray or blue stitching.

Anyone have any pics of Black seats w/ gray inserts and red stitching? or Blue stitching?

Suede inserts with blue stitching would make it look like the carbon edition plus match with the blue of your car. I would also get the matching alcantara oem wheel with blue stitching since it’s pretty cheap.

that's not bad looking
Interesting. I'm still debating on the suede actually. thinking it may be better for the summer , but have never had seats with suede.

What I love about the suede is that it is functional, you don't slide around in the seat, it really holds you in place.
I got mine second hand from a forum member who got them from leatherseats.com

I’d second the blue stitching & while you’re at it spend a little more $ & get new foam to convert your seats to the ‘12-13 seats.

Yes the seat frames are the same, just the foam is different. You will see my seats on Ridies website - excellent quality.

driver’s seat bottom - 19330721 w/o heat -$67.67
driver’s seat back pad, center - 19330724 - $75.57
driver’s seat back pad, outer - 19330722 - $75.57
passenger seat back pad outer - 19330723 - $71.97
passenger seat back pad center - same as driver’s
passenger seat bottom - same as driver’s.

Is that suede or alcantara? Has it held up fine? Pain in the *** to clean?

It's alcantara and I'm the second owner of the seat skins and they look brand new.

planning on it soon. Have to wait a couple weeks. The wifey is going to be doing gift cards or something and planning to use those. May have to go through ebay or amazon . either way, you'll be the first to know. Looking for ideas and pics to make up my mind since there are SO MANY options.

I just got my new foam in this past week... I will be doing new seat covers soon on my LMB, most likely the featured version from Ridies with a small tweak. My current seats are all cashmere and I plan on the featured seats in black with cashmere stitches. I am going to ask for slight mod to be similar to these below.

These are the featured below, I want these with the 2 tone like above.

Yes, but it's unlikely you will get actual suede anyways. You'll get a microsuede type product (like alcantara), which wears remarkably well. Just wipe it down with a damp rag.

My CE has an alcantara interior and I love it, it was a big reason i got a CE. I did a similar aftermarket setup in my c4 as well. I previously had a Saturn with a similar interior and have loved it on all of them. Its cooler in summer, warmer in winter, and holds you in place better than leather. I wish I had it in my truck instead of it's rather unimpressive leather.

This "featured" design is the direction i was thinking, it's closer to the 2012 seats without changing all the foam

My thoughts = black Leather, gray alcantara inserts, light Gray lettering and red stitching.

I originally was thinking about the Blue stitching as shown above, but I'm not a fan of the carbon edition look. I'm glad I saw the pic before ordering. LOL

thanks for the input! I figured it would be much better in summer . currently, if you leave it in the sun with the top down (even for a very short time), the seats will burn you.

Hope to be ordering very soon. will be a good project during the winter downtime. 10 years ago I replaced the cloth in my 2006 Grand Cherokee with premium leather and it took me about 12 hours total. I split it into 2 days because it was brutal on my hands!!! but it turned out great!.

this is my current interior.....very bland!
