I almost bought your exact car "new" from a dealer in early 2013. After driving an hour to get there, they either figured out their mistake or just had to come clean that the dealership had taken possession of the vehicle to cash in on the rebates at the end of 2012. Anyway the "new" car turned into a one owner used car (at least from a title standpoint) and the price went up $5K because it no longer qualified for any rebates or GM Card redemption. Should have probably bought it anyway as I still regret letting it go. I love the the CE additions and if a reasonably priced CE ZR1 ever falls in my lap I won't make the same mistake twice!

$41K is very high for an 08Z with 20K on the clock. I paid $36K for my 08Z with 20K on the clock from a dealership 2 years ago and they were asking $38K. If they did put new OEM heads on it they didn't address anything, the problem is still there. Autotrader has plenty of lower mile Z06 's for $35K to $38K. I'm not sure if I would buy a Z06 with the heads fixed from a dealership as they more then likely have no idea of history or internals used to fix. Find a nice clean low mile Z06 and budget for the head fix, usually between $3200 and $3600 parts and labor, or DIY for just under $1800. I went with AHP Package 4 and did the work myself with just basic tools and a nicely written instructions I found here on the forum in the Z06 section.
