Just purchased a 2009 Z06 in Victory Red
Like the title says I recently, one week ago yesterday, purchased my C6 Z06. It is a good/bad story. I owned a very highly modded 2000 Supercharged LS1 but, on December 23rd I was involved in a crash that resulted in my beloved C5 being totaled.
I found my new, which I love, C6 Z06 at a local dealer here in Eureka, Ca. (County of Humboldt) and brought her home a week ago yesterday.
I do miss my C5 but, I must say the improvements in this C6 leave me speechless but with a very large, full teeth, smile. I will not need to put money in the motor as the 427 more than fulfills my need for speed. The SC C5 was dyno'd at 609hp.
I will simply put money, time and love into the exterior mods and interior mods that make for an even better driver experience, and more importantly make it personalized.
so, this is my story, albeit condensed, about my love and devotion to THE MOST incredible driving machine being produced! Your, my, our Corvette! I will try to attach a pic of my

Congrats! I know you want to put money on exterior and interior mods, personalize it, but have the heads been addressed? It should be the first thing you should look into before doing anything.

Welcome to the fraternity, 10 yr owner here.
Be sure to checkout Z06/ZR1 forum: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...1-and-z06-136/
Where present owners hangout, a wealth of info.
A lot of insight(s) re valve/guide issue reported from other CF Z06 owners, do take some time to read them.
Congrats on the beautiful Z.
PS, assuming it doesn't have any DO acquire a set of Apsis guards for side protection.
Believe me w/o protection, either guards/Xpel etc, that beautiful VR paint won't stay beautiful for long.
Rear brake ducts take an exceptional beating, pebbles/sand erode paint right down to white composite.
Ask me how I know.
Don't discount this advice, once damage is noticed it'll be well on your way to a touch-up repaint.

Congratulations! Beautiful color choice!!! Enjoy it! Sucks your C5 was totaled, but think you will be very happy with the Z06. That is a beast.
I am hoping to be making a similar post soon myself. Got my eye on a Grand Sport to replace my Camaro 2SS. Told wife when I sold my 94 back in 2003 when our first child was born I would be back in a Vette. The time has come

Beautiful Z06. I have 2007 same color. Be sure to address the head issue if they haven't been fixed. I would recommend AHP heads if they haven't already been done. Have them on mine and they are great and the guys at AHP know what they are doing.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
