Default Terrible coolant leak.

Good day to you all , driving back from .Church today I noticed steam coming from the hood I pulled over and the whole engine of my 2005 c6 was covered with coolant fluid the leak was terrible as the engine ran it was just splashing everywhere . The leak seems to be dripping from where the intake meets the engine I don't know but I just left the car there and will habe my friend check it out tomorrow

Not sure from the pic exactly where the leak is, but the t-fittings are prone to breaking.

Sounds like the water pump is noisy. If you can't see any coolant lines that are leaking, cracked or broken, then it's likely the water pump seal that has failed.
I had a water pump seal start leaking on my 2006 at 30K miles.

Good luck

thank u for your reply I'll have it checked out tomorrow and I'll update us all on what the deal is. I've got 103k miles on here. Never had any issues this is the first. I just hope it's not gonna cost an arm and a legleg at the dealership.

I just put one of these on my 2012 before this happens. Easy and painless install, I didn't even lose any coolant.

Anybody got a link for that one dollar part for less than $21.99? I don't mind paying a little extra for convenience but that's absurd.

Wow. Add on the $10 fee for being under $50, and the shipping fee....costs more than the one I linked above. Cheapest is probably getting it at Midnight Auto (not recommended unless you are willing to do the time) or your local store that sells that stuff.

Nice. If you check the "Other Sellers on Amazon", there is a joint selling for $9.99 with free shipping. Getting closer for a $2 "T".
