Default Fuel leak

I have a 2007 corvette convertible, I have a very small fuel leak, a few drops, close to my left rear tire. It only presents itself after I drive it. I park it and moments later I get a fuel smell. I see a fuel stain on the garage floor about 12 inches from the left rear, under the chassis.
Anybody experience the same?

There is a sticky on this problem probably the fuel pump , there is a plastic fitting that will crack and leak fuel .

This is a safety hazard. Get it fixed. Repair is a big job. Requires a lot of teardown and dropping both fuel tanks. Ask me how I know.

Yes I Went to the dealership and $1300 later they can fix it. there is a bulletin out on this from GM that this may happen but not covered since it is 12 years old however I only have 24,000 miles on it but it is what it is.
By the way $1300 because it’s a standard six speed if it was an automatic it would be about 1900 or $2000.

You can drop the drivers side tank and do it yourself. Biggest hurdle is getting the crossover tube out. Its easier on the manual trans cars. Be sure to replace the fuel sender while you have it apart, and my advice would be to drop the passenger tank as well and replace the sending unit in it too.
