Has anyone tried to plastic dip the lower valance panel on the front bumper? Mine has some curb rash and was thinking of trying to sand and plastic dip instead of spending a few hundred on a new one.
I actually decided to sand it. Started with 100 to wet sanding and some trim polish. Came out pretty good. I was worried it would just scratch the black plastic but the wet sanding fixed that. Not perfect but you should have seen it before.

Now that you have a picture, and it became clearer what the part you called a valance was, if you really wanted to make it blacker, get some SEM Trim Paint (spray can) in the matte finish and it would look new.
Piece is fairly easy to remove, just some small screws retain it to the fascia.

Thanks, I did pull it off to sand it. Ill try that paint also to make it look better. It won't flake off? I was worried the plastic dip would flake off.

No it won't flake off, be sure to use SEM Trim Paint as it has adhesion promoters in it which make it bond to the plastic
