Default Chrome Trim Ring on Manual Shifter Boot

Looked everywhere including this forum. Does anyone know where you can buy the chrome trim ring on the top of the 2008 and up manual shift boot. It is the one with two notches that twists into shifter. Any help is appreciated.

I think you have to purchase a shift boot to get that specific part. Not sure. I did see this on eBay...

Cultrag performance may still be able to help you. Probably have to get the boot assembly as the ring is attached to the boot. Other option is to try an aftermarket boot...may or may not use the ring.

It is part of the boot. This is my original (2013 GS) boot that I took off to replace it.

That chrome ring is a piece of cake to replace, i had mine off when i changed the radio. It's only held on with an elastic band on the inner side of the boot,,, now finding a replacement chrome ring.. That I don't know how easy that will be

On the one that I messed up years ago it was pinched on and once it was loose it was loose for ever....There is a slim chance I still have the bare ring....if the OP wants it. I would have to find it.

I suggest calling Gene though...

Default Ring

Would definitely be interested if anyone had them lying around. I don’t need a new or used boots I have several. Just need another ring.

Ok clarify for me please...lol Do you mean the chrome ring that butts up to the shift **** or the trim ring that the boot is mated too in the console... I'm thinking of the little ring shown in picture in post 4...

I'm old.

I recently had my console apart to replace HVAC controller. I can't for the life of me, figure out how to attach the leather part to the chrome ring at the bottom of the shift ****. I see the O-ring and a groove in the ring but no sure how that boot can be attached after the console is in place? Does the console have to come off to attach to collar?

If you haven't figured it out yet, it's actually really simple but it's done from the inside out the bottom side of the boot attaches to that Chrome ring with a simple strong rubber o-ring that keeps it attached to the chrome trim ring. So yes you need to have the entire boot off of the shifter but it's very simple. Good luck
