Default Vert Wind Breaks

Need suggestions for wind breaks for my 08 vert. I see a deflector advertised that goes above the windshield, and then there are the wind breaks that go behind the seats. I am concerned the ones that go behind the seats won't allow me to sit with my seat all the way back. I'm 6' tall, and need to have it all the way back to be comfortable. Does the windshield mounted deflector make a big difference in a vert? I don't want to break the bank for a solution. Any recommendations?

“Wind Restrictor” is a great choice; It works well to cut out blowback when the top is down and will not hinder seat position at all. I have one in my 13 vert and love it.

I'm 6'4", like the seat all the way back, and have no problem with the original GM wind deflector that came with my car..
No lighting, "Corvette" lettering visible from behind, must be removed to put top down (pulls off easily and solid at high speed)

Is the GM wind deflector the one that is a mesh, rather than a acrylic?

Check here! http://www.etcorvette.club/classifie...r-convertibles

This is the GM unit and will allow the seat to go all the way back.

Might get a great price since this has be available for a while!

I have the Windrestrictor on my 07 Vert. When I have the seat all the way back, the headrest rubs against the shield; causing a minor "squeak" when the "leather" rubs against the shield. I'm 5'10" and luckily I don't have to have the seat all the way back for a comfortable driving position.

I like our WindRestrictor very much and appreciate its benefit but also have the same issue as you. I'm 6'1" and also need to drive with my seat all the way down and back as far as it goes which creates an annoying squeak from the headrest rubbing on the WindRestrictor. This also puts a blemish in the form of a dull rub spot on the clear plastic of the restrictor and the leather of the headrest. I contacted the manufacturer and advised them of my problem and they sent me 2 adhesive backed patches that are about 3"X3" to apply to the contacted area of the wind restrictor. The patch material has mouse fur like texture and it eliminated the squeak and the rub marks.

I don't understand why they could not have fabricated the mounting to provide clearance for the seat all the way back since I've taken measurements and gauged the clearance to the tonneau cover and there would have been enough room to move it back far enough without interfering with the tonneau or top operation. I intend to fabricate a couple of adapters to go between the wind restrictor and its mounting brackets that positions it back from its current position.

This is the one I have with custom ordered graphic for our Indy Pace Car.

I bought the over the windshield unit. Didn’t do a thing. Wanted to save some money, but wasted it instead.

I have the WindRestrictorr also. 6"1" and have not had a rubbing problem. Makes a very noticeable difference.

The factory style wind deflector came with my car and it works very well. My seat is all the way back and it doesn't rub.

I have the one that goes on top of the windshield and one I got at the Corvette Museum that hangs on the back of the seats. The one on the windhield does divert the air a bit higher. The one that hangs on the latches on the backs of the seats is a mesh screen and comes off very easily, stores easily and is somewhat effective. It was only 40 or 50 dollars- I think.

Where can I find the mesh unit that mounts to the seat back. Had one on a Mustang that worked really well and would like to check it out. Thanks.

Same for me. Spouse really appreciates it as well. And as you can see they will customize for a small fee.
