Wife or girlfriend was driving....lol
My wife did that once to my Camaro with a brand new front splitter....her excuse was she was waiting for the front tire to hit the parking curb....
Had my coupe over a year now, i park so far back from ties, usually have to move a little closer. Backing up worse, who knows where *** end is. That freaks me out..
Been there, done that. Happened while I was learning how to park it right after I first got it. My splitter is now attached using wood screws. By the way, don't tell anyone I did that!

yikes! yeah the hood of this car and the lip is much longer than it seems when you're sitting in the drivers seat. I'm about as tall as you can be in a vette and I still cant see where the front of the car ends. When in doubt, back it in.
I really don't understand this problem. A C6 is so much shorter than the typical parking space there is no reason to get within a foot of the curb unless you are Stevie Wonder parking by ear. Now a backup cam, that I can understand and I will get one when I replace the head unit.
Guess some of these corvette guys are going to need to start running those yellow edge protector things like the Mopar guys do lol. This is why I have a back up camera and just back into spots. Might install a front camera just incase, but I tend to know the length of my car and not do this.
Backing into a parking space is by far the safest way to park. Most "parking lot" accidents occur when a driver is backing out of a space and gets hit, or hits another car, or person. Backlng in eliminates contact with the cement curb, or another vehicle, unless are really an idiot.
