On Amazon and Ebay, I've seen flasher relays that say they are designed for Corvettes with LED signal lights installed. The description says the relay will eliminate hyper flashing. I installed such a relay on a C5 and it worked perfectly. I never needed to hang those stupid resisters on every LED. On the C5, the relay was located just behind the ignition switch just the dashboard.

I want to do the same on my C6. Where is the signal relay located on the C6?

The flashing is controlled by the BCM. You need the resistors.

Is the same true on the C5?

I don't know. Never had a C5.
