I have a 13 anniversary 427 vert. I recently noticed the carpet on the drivers side just under the console is shrinking and is very noticeable now. Does anyone else have this problem and is there a way to repair it without replacing all the carpet? I was told that it was caused by excessive tunnel heat, I don’t know if that’s valid. Any help would be great. 😎
Many people cover the area with tunnel drapes. Search for NSF, he has a very nice set. Vendors charge upwards of $600 for them, which is ridiculous. I like what doomi did there, looks great, and my MIL has a sewing/craft business so I plan to give her the measurements for a custom set of tunnel drapes to match my interior. It's probably less than $50 in materials.
Doomi you did very well looks like a factory upgrade. Congrats it is a great idea.

Thanks, I really appreciate the compliments! I'm pretty good at messing up projects, so I've also become skilled at finding solutions.
I make light fixtures and furniture pieces out of plexiglass so I have an abundance laying around. And a ton of vinyl wrap from my roof and halo projects.
It just slides up under the console and is held in place by friction.
