I am looking at purchasing headers and xpipe for my 2008 base c6. I am debating on going cat or non cat but im leaning towards with cats. Who has the best deal on Kooks LG or ARH?

Question are you planning to go forced induction later (supercharged or turbo)? If not get the cats you won't lose much power but if you plan on going Forced Induction then don't go with cats. Without cats you may get some smell may be a lot may not be much. Some will say you will some will say you won't. If your going to do an N/A build like cam and heads then still get the cats. You will have to search the vendors on here and see who has the best best price and then see if you want to go with ceramic coating or not that's just your choice. An also you may want to add some heat protection on the tunnel plate while your there to help keep a little heat out of the car while your there. I'm no expert just throwing it out there and maybe someone else can chime in.

I recently bought a set of 1-7/8" ARH headers & 3" catless x-pipe for my 2011 GS on Ebay for only $1,399 shipped to my door. I got them 3 days after I ordered them. They were exactly as stated. It appears the same company has some for your car here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/ARH-America....c100012.m1985

Damn ebay has some good deals. What all do i need just gaskets, o2 extensions and starter heat shield? I wont be doing forced induction which is why im leaning towards a catted xpipe. If i buy it off ebay do you know if they come with the hardware?

Go with high flow cats. This is coming from someone who has had both.

Thanks guys. I went with the ARH headers with catted xpipe. Bad news...i went outside and it looks like my rear upper ball joint is leaking grease all around the inside of my wheel.. is this something i can DIY in the garage? By DIY i mean can i just change the upper ball joint and is there if i can is there anything special i need?
