I borrowed this photo from another thread and added the captions. I thought it easier to show what I am asking about.
There is more to getting the panel off than just prying the panel as shows in the photo.
I am able to get a plastic pry tool, and partially lift the panel. But the panel seems to be attached along the door edge. I dare not continue to pry at the panel for fear if breaking something. So, what is holding the panel along the door edge, and how to I get at whatever is holding the panel to the door?
Hum...I should just pull out with a very little force...My did.
The panel pried off easily. But, is held firmly against the door edge. I put the plastic pry tool in along part of the door edge, but stopped for fear of damaging the vinyl.

I think i pried my up from the door handle side with a small screw driver and pulled up on it and it came right out.Took only about five minutes to remove and install the new one....Good Luck
Have removed mine a couple of times using two thin trim removal tools. Started the first where the one in your picture is located and ice slightly pried up, used the second on the side down from about where the mirror adjustment button is located. Once it popped up, the bezel pretty much popped out with just a little pressure.
