Default side marker leds

Installed these this past weekend and they are incredibly bright compared to stock. Makes the car so much more visible.

Are those the oracles with the single line of LEDs? They look to diffuse the light a lot better than other pictures I've seen of them.

Yep..They are oracle. I kept them clear so they do diffuse better than painted. but still have that "line led" look.

I love that they are so bright, I can be seen better at night. They will paint them for you and even do a "ghost" led but it's an additional 2 bills. If you go unpainted like I did, you do have to clear coat them first. Install was easier than putting on socks

tell us exactly which ones you got that are listed on the below website, and why did you have to clear coat them? it states on their website that clear is required IF you diy paint them yourself, which you did not do.

https://www.oraclelights.com/product...md-sidemarkers

also, your pics to not look like just a thin line of leds lights up, but the entire marker light does. is that they way the look in person?

If you don't want them painted can't you just add a LED bulb to your existing marker light and achieve the same thing?

The picture doesn't do it justice. They are indeed just a straight line of leds but the clear makes it look diffused. There is only one style for the C6. They need to either be cleared which I have now done because of the plastic lens. It is a softer plastic than OEM. I may at some point do a black ghost to it so they match the spoiler, front splitter and flag emblem inserts.

These aren't led bulbs. They are a strip of leds that lights the entire length of the lens not just where the bulb is. In person it is not diffused like my pic.

The Oracle lights are a LED strip. I pulled out my side marker lights and replaced the bulb with a LED and all you get is a very bright spot. Went back to the OE bulb.

Same here. I wasn't happy with the single LED in place of the incandescent bulb.

Were they a simple plug'n'play - unplug stock markers and plug in new led strip?

Thanks,
M...

Plug and play......Waiting for the paint to dry took longer than installing them....
