Navigation Disc Help
I bought my 2005 C6 from someone who said it did NOT have navigation. No big deal, but when I got it I noticed it had a Nav Button. When I click on Nav it asks me to insert a DVD. So I assume they were wrong and that I'm just missing a disc? no discs came with the car.
Question is, I'm seeing different things online for disc options. I'm seeing a $10 "Update DVD" and a $100-$150 "Navigation Disc", both on ebay.
Are these the same thing? Will this $10 disc get my Nav up and running?

I see mentioning of the different versions of the disc. Is the most recent version compatible with a 2005 or is there updating that needs to occur?
In short, what exactly do I need to get my nav working? Thanks in advance!!

The $10.00 disc should work. Version 10 is the latest. Works great in my 08.

Agreed. Follow post # 2 advice. OP link appears the correct $10 item to try.
Good luck.

What year was it updated? Here in NC, it’s virtually useless with all the new roads and developments.

Last update was 2016. I've read where that will be the last update GM does for the system.
