The clock on my '05 OEM nav unit was working last week, even though the car has periodically been w/o power, due to a failing battery. I replaced the battery on Monday, and now the clock is blank. I don't know why it took so long to disappear. People have been talking about it for some time, now.

Mine has been out for months...I just came back on yesterday.
Well..I say it's working but it displays January 3'rd as the date and the time is way off. I guess I should read the owners manual!
What time of day did this happen, and did the clock start working right away. I went out this morning for a 20 mile ride, no dice. When I first started out, I didn't even have GPS connection(slash through GPS). So I figured it had something to do with the 4/06 reset. It finally connected after a couple miles, but no clock!

i would contact your local Chevy dealer and ask about the clock as you heard it should be up and running on the 6th. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Had the car serviced a couple of weeks ago. The clock was working up to that point until they disconnected the battery. I mentioned the possibility that the clock would stop working to the service advisor. Sure enough, when I picked it up, it was gone. He didn't seem to know about it when I first told him dropping it off. When I picked it up, he told me another customer with a C6 now has the same problem after servicing the car, and that he would look into it.
What I don't understand, is why some NAV unit are coming back, and others not, with the same year cars? I do understand from what I've read, that only 2010 and older cars are being affected.

I don't remember the time it came on, I just happened to look at the radio and noticed the clock was working. I also didn't take notice if it was working right away or not. I'm not that concerned about the oem radio/clock as I'll be replacing it soon with an aftermarket one, can't wait....this radio sucks!
