I had a weird electrical issue this morning where the car would not start like the battery was low (it isn't). I then started the car and found out that my drivers side window did not go up like it needed to be reset. I checked the passenger side and it's fine but the drivers side won't go up into the fully closed position just the position to open the door. Other than that the window works fine. Ideas?
Do the window re-index. That will fix the window issue. Usually, the window indexing has to be redone after any battery disconnect, or an electrical glitch.
Although the passenger side seems OK, you should also re-index the passenger sise as well. Same procedure
To re-index 1. Close the door. 2. Raise the window by pulling up the switch. 3. Hold the up switch for three seconds after the window is closed. Release the switch. 4. Hold the up switch again for three seconds and release.
I know this will sound a bit crazy, but try swapping your door pad switches. I recently had a similar problem where the passenger door window would not index and the inside door switch would not open the door. I swapped the outside door pad switches (very easy to do) and the passenger window and door now worked as designed. So it proved my issue was a corroded door pad switch. I opened up the bad one, cleaned the copper circuit board with steel wool and reinstalled it and both windows / doors worked perfectly. Easy to do and it will eliminate that as the potential issue.
This actually just happened to me today! I was stumped because. Ine would not go up more than an inch. Definitely was due to battery issue. To index the windows, it wou5only work when both doors were closed. Once I closed the doors, it allowed me to index after a few hits on the button
