C7 corvettes have a terrible design with the cup holder, so shallow and wide that bottles and drinks fly out of the holder every where, especially when using all the horses. I could buy and after market cup holder but then i cant close the lid as the cup holder is too tall.
Out of frustration i made my own design for the C7 where there are 3 levels that can be extended and lowered so the lid can now close when not using. It came out so nice that i made the investment and has been a great response to C7 owners. You can see it on ebay item #233190067794 but have posted one photo here. They attached to the bottom with very thin velco. My question to the C6 community is below the photos C7 C7 C6 Cups down
My question to the C6 community is that i am now making them for the C6 and is the same basic style, but to get the most room to hold things, if you wanted one, would you remove the 3 rubber tabs that come stock with your cup holder. You dont need to cut them as you can simply push them back inside the console. Ive have attached photos of a pre-production sample and will have stock in about 2 weeks. This sample is not the correct plastic but would look nice matte smooth finish like the C7 ones and will also put the Horse power logo on them and also offer them with no logo.
To confirm my question is," Would you be willing to remove the 3 rubber tabs that come stock inside your cup holder if you wanted one".

Congrats on a great design, but I'm not so certain that the C6 has the same issues that the C7 has.
I find with the C6 cup holders, it's not that items can fly out of there, but there is not enough space to put 2 items in the cup holders without them impeding on each other.
I personally would want an insert that extends the length of the cup holders so there is enough space between the 2 items.
For that reason, I have incorporated a cup holder for the passenger that sits along the side of the console.

Agreed. Nothing falls out and the 3 rubber tabs are instrumental in making that happen, but the spacing is too tight. 2 large drinks can't fit.
But hey, at least we don't have just a coaster, ĺ la the C5.
Can’t poop on a guy trying to make a living, but I would be happy if I could simply find a tan / cashmere two bottle side mount bottle holder. All I ever find available is black. I don’t mind the factory center model that much.
