Default reverse lights not working

i have read the posts and ive tried what has been recommended... so with that being said here goes...

i installed an aftermarket stereo with the option for rear camera which i later installed. everything was working fine, till one day i was reversing out the driveway and noticed my camera didnt turn on the radio screen. i looked at the fusebox inside the car and sure enough the fuse was burnt. proceeded to change it and then same thing happened again almost instantly. sometimes it would take a day or two, other times it would burn it instantly. so then i decided to order the backup light switch that goes mounted on the tranny, same thing happened again. after that i thought it could be a faulty camera so i disconnected it, put a new fuse and it was working fine till last night i was leaving the gym and a buddy told me the lights were not turning on. sure enough, burnt fuse. not sure where to go from here, i really dont want to take it into the stealership. i hope its something i can fix myself.

check your light wiring for the back up lights, or it could be one of the light bulbs that is shorting, or it may be the bulb holder.
It's gotta be one of these things that is blowing the fuse.
I suspect the bulb/holder is bad.
