Interior looks fantastic, engine bay looks pretty clean and mileage is really good. Prices are always negotiable but doesn’t seem abnormally high.

Okay, lol...there is/was a leak. Staining and discoloration like that doesn’t just happen. Good luck with your purchase.

I think that a very good sign that the car was well taken care of is the lift in the owner’s garage.

Just look real close in the gaps between frame rails and fenders right under the hood strut area....you will find some fine pebbles in there from materials spun off the tires in some of those crevices...

Enjoy your car...Its nice.

So of course I am doing overkill on research. I know Carfax isn't the greatest but here's what's really weird....

I ran the carfax and of course no maintenance records (that doesn't concern me much) but the "estimated value" of this car is about $7,000 less than what I am paying.

Sooo I ran another car through that is a year older, same mileage and only a 1 LT vs a 3LT and the value of that car was $6,000 higher than the one I am looking at? I know I shouldn't pay much attention to that but I found it very, very odd.

You’ll find the manual brings a premium over the auto which is the opposite when new.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn’t 3LT include Nav system ? Also can’t tell from pictures if it has NPP.

Register the VIN on Chevy.com and/or obtain a VIS report from a GM dealer to see what additional extended coverages it has. There is an extended coverage for the clutch/master cylinder for 10 yr/120k miles as well as a couple others that slip my mind currently. My '12 GS has 3 extended coverages attached to it. Check to see if there was ever an issue with the headlights that was replaced & it looks as if the clutch master is original (clear fluid reservoir vs the updated black reservoir). For an '11 I would say low 30's. I purchased my '12 GS from a dealer in 2017 with 29k mi miles on it, it is a 1LT, for $33k & change so you should be able to negotiate a better price from a private party.

Looks like I am passing on this one. Talked to the owner today and he did say they drive it quite a bit on dirt and gravel roads along with the rain all the time. It's a nice vehicle but not sure it's for me. I want to find something that was babied, maybe not a garage queen but at least more taken care of then this one. Disappointed to say the least. Oh well...

I have two more in my pipeline. 2007 Convertible, yellow and 3 owners or Gray 2010 Grand Sport with 1LT package.

I can understand you wanting a babied car. However, looking at the pics it looks like it is taken care of especially if it is driven. The Vette is a car, they don't melt driving in the rain. Even if they are driven in the winter as long as the under carriages are regularly cleaned you don't need to worry about it. The fact that he has a lift means he probably has kept the under carriage clean and looking at the pics it supports that.

Also, a 9 year old car with 14,000 miles on it is not driven quite a bit. It wouldn't take more than a thorough detail to get it to the way you want it and then you can keep it in the garage with the cover on it.

That being said, if it doesn't tickle your fancy, pass on it.

Not sure what you're looking for but that car looks to be in fantastic shape to me. As someone else mentioned, 14k miles in 8-9 years is not "driven quite a bit". If it were me (and I liked yellow) I'd be all over this one. Price might be a bit high for a private sale but I'm sure you could get them down a bit.

More babied than 14k miles in 8 years? Looks garage kept and very clean underneath. If it’s a bit dirty it was probably winter when he put it away and too cold to wash. If he’s the original owner that’s icing on the cake. If you expect better than that you will be looking for a very long time.

I've had some doubts and thoughts over the past few weeks, but this convinced me. You're not a Corvette buyer. You're an endless tire kicker. That car is CLEAN, who cares if it got driven in rain or on a dirt road. The cars sit outside for WEEKS in rain, snow, whatever both at the plant and at a dealership. A dirt road or rain isnt going to hurt anything.

I get buying your first vette is a big deal for most. But you're going overboard and really need to get back to reality. Either that or pull out your big boy wallet and buy a brand new car, or one of those time capsule cars that go for more than they did when new. You're WAY overthinking this and are going to miss out on the good cars, while pissing off everyone you try to buy from in the process.

You should buy a new car. You’re going to have to overpay to get what you want. You want a new car in a used car world. Don’t overpay for a car that’s been under utilized for 6+ years, pay a goo price for a new car and save yourself the headache.

Thanks and many false statements here. Nope not a tire kicker, cash is in hand just trying to find the right car. Nope, not looking for a new car at a used car price. You don't know me and your opinions are false. I am in the middle of deciding on two vehicles and they are very different. Both as the exact same price and color. However, one is an 2011 Grand Sport and the other a 2008 Z06. Therefore, there are things to consider, heads, etc. If it bothers you what I am asking and thinking, you are free to not respond. Your obsession with my buying process is giving me confidence.

No offense, but you've been deciding betwee 2 vehicles for like a month or so now. I think you're forgetting that the buying process is the worst part... owning is what you want to do.

I hope you end up making the right choice for you. Just dont gforet, not making the choice to buy is the worst choice.

You’ve been around here long enough to know some get a little carried away with opinions or beliefs. Roll with it and don’t sweat the talkers.
